Refund policy


At Smrtiplx, we provide a straightforward return and warranty process designed to ensure a smooth and reliable customer experience. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds, returns, and warranty claims may be processed.

1. General Policy

This policy applies exclusively to purchases made directly through online stores operated by Smrtiplx.
If you purchased a Smrtiplx product through an authorized reseller or third-party retailer, please refer to their respective return and warranty policies, as terms may differ.
The policy may also vary by country due to local legal requirements and related considerations.

2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Undamaged products can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, regardless of the reason.
This policy does not apply to corporate or bulk orders (defined as orders of more than 10 units of a single product).

To qualify for a return:

  • All accessories must be included.

  • The original packaging must be intact.

  • The buyer is responsible for shipping costs for non-quality-related returns.

  • Refunds for non-quality-related returns cover only the product cost.

  • Returns may be rejected if the product does not meet these conditions.

Refund requests under this policy must be submitted within 30 days after opening a warranty claim.
Refunds for non-quality issues cannot be processed beyond this 30-day window.

3. Warranty Claims for Quality-Related Issues

All quality-related defects on items sold directly by Smrtiplx or through its authorized resellers are covered by warranty from the date of purchase.
This warranty is valid only within the country of purchase. It becomes void if the item is taken or shipped outside that country.

Depending on product type and evaluation, Smrtiplx may, at its discretion:

  • Provide replacement parts,

  • Repair the product,

  • Exchange it for a factory-refurbished unit (if available), or

  • Provide a brand-new unit.

The warranty period for replacement items follows the same duration as the original defective item or 3 months after replacement, whichever is longer.
Warranties on products are void once a full refund has been issued.

Products outside the warranty period may still qualify for paid repair services. For further details, please contact Smrtiplx support.

4. Warranty Coverage for Smrtiplx Smart Lock Products

Mechanical Parts: 36 months from the date of purchase
Electronic Parts: 18 months from the date of purchase

Mechanical Limited Warranty

Smrtiplx guarantees that each Smart Lock will be free from mechanical defects under regular residential use for the duration of the warranty period.
This warranty covers components of the key-operated locking mechanism.

Electronic Limited Warranty

Smrtiplx guarantees that each Smart Lock will be free from electronic defects under normal use for 18 months from the date of purchase.
This warranty covers software malfunctions that cannot be resolved through settings adjustments or firmware updates.

5. Warranty Process

To process a warranty claim:

  • Buyer must provide valid proof of purchase.

  • Smrtiplx must document the troubleshooting steps taken.

  • The defective item’s serial number and visible proof of the defect are required.

  • Returning the defective item for inspection may be necessary.

Acceptable Proof of Purchase:

  • Order number from online purchases through Smrtiplx or its authorized resellers

  • Sales invoice

  • Dated sales receipt with product description and price

More than one form of proof may be required to verify the claim.

Warranty claims for product defects expire 90 days after opening a warranty claim.
Claims cannot be processed after the product’s original warranty period or this 90-day window, whichever is longer.

6. Shipping Costs

The buyer is responsible for shipping costs in the following cases:

  • Returns for any reason other than a confirmed defect

  • Warranty claims for items used or shipped outside the country of purchase

  • Accidental returns

  • Returns of personal items

  • Returns of items found to be in working condition after inspection

  • International returns of defective items

  • Unauthorized returns made outside the approved warranty process

7. Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Products without proof of purchase

  • Lost or stolen products

  • Items beyond their warranty period

  • Non-quality-related issues after 30 days of purchase

  • Free or promotional products

  • Repairs made by third parties

  • Damage caused by external factors

  • Damage due to misuse (e.g., drops, extreme temperature, water, improper operation)

  • Purchases from unauthorized sources

Smrtiplx is not liable for any loss of data incurred during product use or for personal items mistakenly sent with returned goods.

8. Responsibility During Return Shipping

  • When Smrtiplx provides a prepaid shipping label, Smrtiplx assumes responsibility for any loss or damage during transit.

  • For returns related to non-quality issues, the buyer assumes responsibility for any damage or loss in transit.

  • Smrtiplx does not issue refunds for items damaged during return transit for non-quality-related claims.

9. Return Procedure

To initiate a return, submit a return request with your order number and the email address used for the purchase.
Once the returned item arrives at Smrtiplx’s warehouse and passes inspection, the refund process will begin.

10. Policy Validity

This refund and return policy is applicable only to Smrtiplx products purchased directly from Smrtiplx’s official online store or authorized resellers.
The policy complies with local consumer protection laws and does not affect statutory rights.
