Installation & Setup

What if my door hole size doesn’t match the lock?

If the door hole diameter is smaller than 54mm, the standard installation positioning ring (54mm) needs to be removed. Please refer to the installation video for step-by-step guidance.

The lock doesn’t auto-lock after installation or shows “latch stuck.” Why?

This is usually caused by the lock cylinder being rotated before installation. We recommend carefully following the installation video and reinstalling the lock according to the correct steps.

Is Smrtiplx compatible with left-handed and right-handed doors?

Yes. Smrtiplx is designed for both left-handed and right-handed doors, with a reversible handle for flexible installation.

How long does installation take? Do I need professional help?

Installation typically takes about 15 minutes. No drilling, wiring, or professional assistance is required for standard residential doors.

App, Connectivity & Smart Features

Why can’t I register an account in the Smrtiplx app?

The app password only supports letters and numbers (case-sensitive). Using any special characters will cause registration to fail.

The Wi-Fi connection is unstable or fails to connect. What should I do?

Please check whether the lock is too far from your router or if there are signal obstructions. If needed, consider using a Wi-Fi signal extender to improve connectivity.

Why is the motion sensor not working?

Please make sure notification permissions are enabled for the Smrtiplx app on your mobile device.

I can’t record audio or use two-way voice communication.

Please confirm that microphone permissions are enabled on your phone. Before recording or starting a voice call, tap the microphone icon in the app and ensure it turns blue.

Power, Battery & Device Status

The screen doesn’t wake up. What should I check?

Please check whether the battery is low and recharge it if necessary. If the battery has power, remove it and reinstall it to restart the lock system.

How long does the battery last?

Under typical usage, the rechargeable 10,000mAh battery lasts up to 6 months. Battery life may vary depending on usage frequency and feature settings.

What happens if the battery runs out completely?

Smrtiplx supports Type-C USB emergency power, allowing you to temporarily power the lock when needed.

How accurate is the fingerprint recognition?

Smrtiplx features 0.2-second fingerprint recognition with up to 99.9% accuracy and supports up to 100 fingerprints.

Can I view my doorstep remotely?
